Hava Opening Event

Some photos taken by our good friend Keith Sirchio at the opening of the Hava Nagila exhibition on Wednesday evening at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.

Hava Nagila Opening with MTWTF at the Museum of Jewish Heritage

Last night we celebrated the opening of “Hava Nagila: A Song for the People” at the Museum of Jewish Heritage with our design partners at MTWTF. The show opens to the public today and will be on view at the museum until May 2013.

Carpet Art Auction at Interface

Yesterday evening we joined members of the design community to support DIFFA. Interior Design hosted the Carpet Art auction as part of Idea Lab 2012 to benefit the Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids. Situ Studio was among a group of artists and designers asked to come up with innovative pieces using only carpet tiles and materials.

Above an image of Situ’s Modular Acoustical Wall contribution. The modules are constructed out of individual carpet tiles that are scored, folded and assembled into 3-dimensional units that can be tiled and arranged in multiple configurations.

A detail of the carpet modules.

The event was sponsored by Interface and held at their Midtown-Manhattan showroom. At the left of the photo a piece by Elizabeth Von Lehe/ICrave Design.
